Here Comes The Night

Here comes the night
That is lit by the moon's light.
Here comes the wolf's of fright
And the ghosts that stay out of sight.

Here comes the beasts of fear
And the stalkers that you never hear.
Here comes the abomination of a deer
Brought to life by a pagan and ancient sear.

When it is black as night
And the moon shines bright
Imagination and reality merge
And fear begins to surge.

We can't trust what we see.
So we go to our beds and close our eyes
And try to sleep with fearful sighs
While telling ourselves the tales are just frightful lies.

Sincerely,
Sigmund Creed
